How and where to catch the Philly show live on TV and Radio
Date of Event: July 2, 2005
Location: Benjamin Franklin Parkway at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, 25th Street at Benjamin Franklin Parkway
Start Time: 8:00 am (Jumbotron will have live telecast from other venues), 12 Noon (live concert begins at Philadelphia Museum of Art)
Finish Time: 6 pm
Artists line-up: Will Smith (host), Will Smith, Bon Jovi, Maroon 5, Stevie Wonder, Jay-Z, The Dave Matthews Band, Sarah McLachlan, Rob Thomas, Keith Urban, Kaiser Chiefs , Linkin Park, Destiny's Child , Black Eyed Peas, Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake, Josh Groban, Def Leppard, Ludacris. Each artist will play approximately 20 minutes. Each set will consist of about three songs.
Live Webcast:AOL US, UK, Germany and France. AOL will air every show in its entirety live
Live Radio Broadcast: Philly radio stations Wired 96.5 and WMMR 93.3. XM Satellite Radio will be streaming live sounds beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday. Live global coverage will be on XM40; London: XM41; Philadelphia: XM42; Berlin: XM43; Rome: XM44; Paris: XM45; Toronto: XM46.

USA
Philadelphia WPVI Channel 6 will have a live telecast of the concert at 8 pm. MTV, MTV 2, VH1 and mtvU will air eight hours of the concerts from 12 noon (at the time Philly show is underway) to 8 p.m. ET. The MTV channels will be switching back and forth from all eight of the shows. ABC will air a two-hour highlights show beginning at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
CANADA
The event will be telecast live on CTV. Over 12 hours of live coverage including segments from additional Live 8 concerts around the world. The network also plan to broadcast from the beginning, going live early on Saturday, July 2 when the first act takes to the stage overseas, and continuing until the last act finishes at Live 8 Canada, sometime around 8 p.m. ET. AUSTRALIA
Foxtel will telecast the entire event on Saturday July 2 from 9.30pm AEST to 10.00am AEST, Sunday July 3. Nine Network will have special highlights program on Sunday, July 3 at 8.30pm AEST. Details here
UNITED KINGDOM BBC One will cross over to Philadelphia at approximately 10 pm UK time and will continue the telecast till 3 am. Then BBC Three will show the entire Philadelphia show again on July 3 at 7 pm - 4 am (UK Time)

FINLAND
The digi channel YLE Teema and TV2 will air Live 8 starting at 5pm Finnish time on July 2nd. Thanks to Maria for the info.
FRANCE M6 TV will have live telecast of the London show from 2:50 pm - 3:50 pm. French concert starts at 5:40 pm - 7:50 pm and 8:05 pm - 8:50 pm
GERMANY regional channels (type live 8 in "SUCHE" to get
to the schedule) WDR, SR, SWR, RBB will start the broadcast at 2 pm - 6 pm and on HR channel from 9:50 pm - 1:20 am. Phoenix channel (a public news channel) will broadcast Live8 from 2 pm Saturday, taking the live feed from all concerts. MTV Germany will broadcast what they consider highlights on Sunday from 15:30. GREECE

VH1 India will broadcast 12 hours of Live 8 footage showcasing highlights from all the event venues.
INDONESIA
MetroTV Indonesia will air the Live 8 show on Saturday, July 2, starting from 21.30 local time. Thanks to Serenade for the info
ITALY Rai Tre will telecast the show at 2:35 pm - 6: 55 pm, 8 pm - 11:05 pm and 11:25 pm - 1:05 am
MALAYSIA Astro, will telecast 11 hours of the Live 8 concert on Astro Channel 88 at 10 pm free of charge. There will be repeat screenings on Saturday at noon and on Monday at 4 pm. You can also listen to the live broadcast on MIX FM (live audio streaming available).
MIDDLE EAST
In the Middle East you can catch 11 hour broadcast of the concert live on MBC 4 at 2 pm GMT. Thanks to Kareem for the info.
NEW ZEALAND TV2 will carry a live broadcast next Sunday from 2 am - 12 pm.
NETHERLANDS Vara and BNN will telecast 11 hours of the event live on NED 3 channel. Dutch radio station 3FM will also have a live broadcast (live audio streaming available). MTV Netherlands will switch to all the different cities with backstage reports, interviews and of course the shows

NORWAY
In Norway, Live 8 will be telecast on NRK1 and NRK2. The transmission will start on Saturday at 3 pm till 3 am Sunday. Thanks to Victor for the info.
PAKISTAN
In Pakistan the Musik Channel will telecast a live 11 hour transmission of the concert on July 2, from 6 pm. Thanks to Farrukh for the info
POLAND

SINGAPORE
You can catch the live telecast of the Live 8 concerts on Starhub Preview Channel 01 and Hub TV Ch 26. The live telecast starts at 9 pm (when the London concert starts), the cross over to Philadelphia will probably starts at 12 midnight or around 1 am. The telecast will ends at 7 am, Sunday morning. If you don't have cable you can catch the action on five giant screens at Chijmes Fountain Courtyard and Lawn Area, same time. Watch promo trailer
